LOL: The Young Turks Gets Hit With Racial Discrimination Suit From Black Reporter

Published

(The Daily Wire)

A former reporter for The Young Turks (TYT) has filed a racial discrimination claim against the news outlet. Andrew Jerell Jones, who is black, accuses Young Turks founder and CEO Cenk Uygur of telling him that complaints from employees about racial bias in the company were a “fireable offense” and that he should “shut the fuck up and deal.”

Uygur responded to the allegation by informing Buzzfeed News, “The quotes attributed to me in the workplace are completely false.”

Jones filed the complaint with the New York State Division of Human Rights. Jones reportedly alleges that his experience at The Young Turks was different from his white colleagues, citing being given nebulous deadlines as well as no funds for traveling to investigate stories.

Buzzfeed reports, “Jones said that he complained to executives that his boss, Jonathan Larsen, treated other reporters in the ‘TYT Investigates’ group less harshly, and that he faced improper charges of insubordination and poor performance.”

As Buzzfeed reports, Jones claimed that David Koller, one of the founders of TYT, informed him he would investigate his complaint, but he never heard anything from Koller after that. In the official complaint, Jones said another executive did contact Jones and issued a “veiled threat,” saying, “If this all works out you are under Larsen, but he may also discontinue your services.”

Uygur said of Jones, “I thought Andrew was a good guy when he worked here, I’ll leave comments about his work to the legal proceedings. It’s really unfortunate that he has decided to work with a lawyer who has now brought two different, unrelated actions against us. Of course we care a great deal about diversity in the workplace — that is part and parcel of what we do and who we are. We will defend our record and not give into baseless demands.”

WATCH: Tucker Slams Jim Acosta For Epic Self-Own At McAllen Border Barrier

Published

On Thursday, Fox News Anchor Tucker Carlson praised CNN’s Jim Acosta for one of the biggest self-owns: making President Trump’s case for a border wall.

“In fact, this debate is over. We’re not getting a barrier along our southern border. We can’t, not now, not ever,” Carlson sarcastically proclaimed. “That possibility was permanently destroyed today by a fact-seeking missile of truth launched by one of our country’s premier cable news outlets in a single devastating act of journalism, CNN killed the wall. Took their biggest guns to do it.”

Tucker then begin to play a video, streamed Thursday by Acosta, which showed him idiotically saying that there was no crisis at the U.S. border — an argument he made while standing at a section of the border with a barrier — in the middle of the afternoon.

“You see that? Take that, you nativist bigot freaks, you creepy wall obsessives. Jim Acosta just spanked you. He was there, not in some cushy, air-conditioned studio in Washington with the rest of the talking heads,” Tucker continued.

Tucker then humorously joked that Acosta was out in the field, doing the type of “hard-boiled shoe-leather reporting” that made him a household name.

Tucker added: “Not a single illegal alien was anywhere near that wall. There was no tent city. There were no predatory gang members or coyotes. MS-13? Not there. There was no sad suffering caravan. Everything was just fine or as Jim Acosta so memorably put it, the area around that steel barrier was pretty tranquil.”

Trump vs Fake News: “I Will Never Stop Fighting For The American People”

(Via Infowars)

President Trump leveled harsh criticism of the fake news media over their constant negative coverage of his administration, and assured the American people he won’t let them continue to sell out the country.

“When the media – driven insane by their Trump Derangement Syndrome – reveals internal deliberations of our government, it truly puts the lives of many, not just journalists, at risk! Very unpatriotic!” Trump tweeted Sunday.

“Freedom of the press also comes with a responsibility to report the news accurately. 90% of media coverage of my Administration is negative, despite the tremendously positive results we are achieving, it’s no surprise that confidence in the media is at an all time low!”

“I will not allow our great country to be sold out by anti-Trump haters in the dying newspaper industry,” he continued. “No matter how much they try to distract and cover it up, our country is making great progress under my leadership and I will never stop fighting for the American people!”

Trump then made it clear that leftist publications like the New York Times “will never change” in their coverage against him.

“As an example, the failing New York Times and the Amazon Washington Post do nothing but write bad stories even on very positive achievements – and they will never change!”

The Biased Media Must End

Published

Media bias is becoming a major issue in the United States today. Most media outlets have become corrupt by politics. The media should be completely unbiased and factual, allowing the citizens of our great country to form their own opinions. I understand and completely respect the First Amendment, but when the media is pushing their opinions so hard, it is impossible not to see things from their point of view.

Being a young adult, I know how impressionable America’s youth is. When we have this much fake news, it makes it really hard to determine what is real and what isn’t. As America’s future voters, we need to be presented with the truth by reporters who will keep their own opinions out of their reports and articles. I think this change is possible, but we as a nation need to demand it.
